The Learning Forest was recently Awarded the Platinum LEAF (Landscape Excellence Assessment Framework) Certification.
The LEAF is a Certification scheme that that celebrates and encourages good landscape design, construction and management of development and park projects. It recognizes ecological, social, and climatic resilience and encourages sustainability in Singapore’s urban landscape and acknowledges best practices in Landscape Design and Management.

The group of 17 students aged from 11- 16 years have worked wonders to transform their own School environment as part of their ‘Vague Verte’ (Green Wave) project under the guidance of their teacher, Sophie Auzeine.

The Kranji Marshes improvement project was intended to reinstate the marsh as a haven for freshwater birds and provide access and facilities for visitors.
Kranji Marshes is now home to more than 170 species of birds, 54 species of butterflies and 33 species of dragonflies, all of which can be observed and studied by visitors without disturbance.
