Gizmo's 9th Birthday
Gizmo is 9 years old today. Happy Hatchday Gizmo.
It's a normal day at SCLD's office for him and I guess he will have to try to learn to say his new age.
If we ask him how old he is he generally still says "six" or occasionally if I push it he says "I'm five". Time obviously doesn't mean much when you spend all day flying round the office causing trouble.
So in celebration of his birthday here is a little gallery of the last nine years from his black eyed, clipped winged, messy feeding with a syringe arrival in the office, to his present acrobatic flying, white/yellow iris eyed, fully acrobatic flying, trouble making, talking and whistling self.
More information about Giz below.
Sala Lodges Revisited
We were back to visit Sala Lodges in May and the resort is looking great. The resort is also getting rave reviews from visitors and travel writers for its combination of the character of an authentic Khmer village with the comfort and service of a luxury hotel.

The Resort just turned 1 year old and we must have had at least 3 rice harvests so far. All the rice (as well as the vegetables, herbs and spices) from the gardens is used in the fantastic dishes prepared for guests.

Palm Civets on the Eco-Link @ BKE
So I'm told that Palm Civets (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) have been pooing on the Wildlife Bridge!
National Parks (NParks) Officers have spotted Palm Civet droppings on the bridge so it seems animals are already using the bridge - even if it's only as a toilet.
